Pilates Sessions

To get started, you will need to book an initial assessment, or take advantage of our Starter Pack offer which includes your initial assessment + 3 private sessions. Whatever your reason for exercising, Pilates has you covered.

Initial Assessment

All new clients are invited to a 60 minute initial assessment/intro session.

During this first lesson, I will ask you some questions about your medical history and we can discuss any particular health problems or concerns you might have. I will have a look at your posture and further assess any joints or areas of concern. It is helpful if you bring a list of any medication that you are currently taking.

We will then get started with some exercises to see how you move and introduce you to Pilates and the equipment. Even if you have done Pilates previously, you will need an introductory session as it enables me to tailor an exercise programme specifically for you, and it can be helpful to re-visit the basic principles of the technique.

You can book your initial assessment as a stand-alone session or take the plunge and book a Starter Pack which includes your assessment + 3 private studio sessions.

Private Sessions

Private Pilates sessions are the ultimate way to reach your goals and give you an hour to yourself away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

Each session is tailor made for you, and you will have the studio and your instructor all to yourself. We can do a challenging and intense session or we can do a gentle workout, it is completely up to you depending on how you feel on the day.

You will enjoy our modern and cosy studio using all the equipment under the guidance of an experienced Pilates teacher and Physiotherapist. It is all about you.

Private Pilates sessions are our signature offering and it is what we do best. Every exercise we do is hand-picked for you and your body. These sessions will truly help you create the body you want!

Physiotherapy Rehabilitation sessions are also booked as private studio sessions. During your initial assessment, we will discuss and plan how to proceed in order for you to reach your goal.

Circuit Sessions

These are Pilates Circuit sessions with 3 clients rotating around the equipment in the studio.

These are suited for those who are largely injury-free and able to work independently. This is not a โ€˜taughtโ€™ class, but rather a great way for you to come and practise the exercises you already know.

You will need a minimum of 5 Private Pilates sessions before joining the Circuits.

Itโ€™s like going to the gym, but Pilates studio style!

These sessions run in 6 or 7 week blocks every term (depending on the length of the school term), and must be booked as a course.

Bookings are made after discussion with your Pilates teacher and are subject to availability.

Zoom Class

A 55 minute mixed-level Pilates class, delivered online on Zoom. Working on the fundamental Pilates repertoire, with some challenging moves thrown in, this class will make you feel lengthened, toned and stretched from top to toe.

No need to walk through town on a cold dark night, just join me on Zoom and say hi to everyone on the screen. You can do the class in your pyjamas if you like (highly recommended), and roll straight into bed after. A feel-good Pilates class to start your week off right.
You can book from week to week with no commitment to a long block of classes, and will receive your Zoom link to your inbox at least 1 hour before class commences.

Please note that there are some conditions that are not suitable for this class, and these are listed below. If you are unsure whether this class is for you, just get in touch via email to discuss.

I hope to see you on the mat!

Contra-indications for this class: any spinal condition including sciatica, spinal surgery, stenosis, osteoporosis, osteopenia, joint replacements, pre- and post-natal, acute injury, any recent surgery.

Workshops

I have always known that I wanted to find a way to make it easier for you to exercise at home, so you can keep up your exercise routine anytime, anywhere.

Because I know that you just need a few exercises that you know really well. You need to feel confident with them and know that they feel right for your body. Then, over time, you can add more exercises, one at a time, and build a repertoire that you can do anytime and anywhere without having to fiddle with your phone or a video link or having to decide which online class to take. This is truly the way to create an exercise routine you can keep up even when life gets busy.

That is why I offer pop-up workshops!

These happen on an ad hoc basis every few months, and each workshop will have a specific focus or we will use a particular prop such as balls, weights and Magic circles. You will learn a set of exercises and receive a ‘manual’ with photos and a description of each exercise.

There will be plenty of time to practice and ask questions, and take your own notes.

We have a brew and a chat. We do a warm up together.
It is informal and friendly, and chat and giggles are encouraged!
And you will walk away feeling confident about getting on your mat at home and doing a Pilates session. And of course, you will have your manual as a quick reminder.
